Michael Truong, P.M., M.D., F.A.C.E.
Endocrinology
Dr. Truong finished his high school education in Mathematics and Physics in Paris, France. In 1981, he received his Summa Cum Laude undergraduate degree at the University of California, Los Angeles. He attended Medical School at the University of California, San Francisco. In 1988, he completed his Internal Medicine training at the University of California, Davis. Subsequently, he finished his fellowship training in Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Metabolism. Dr. Truong spent the next two years at the Aoki Diabetes Research Institute and was at that time Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of California, Davis Medical School.
Specialty:
Since 1992, he has been in practice with Mission Internal Medical Group. Dr. Truong is a Certified Clinical Bone Densitometrist by the International Society for Clinical Densitometry, and is the Medical Director of the Osteoporosis Center since 1996.
He is also the Medical Director of the Mission Internal Medical Group Laboratory. As an Endocrinologist, he has a deep interest in Lipid Metabolism and has been the Co-Director of the Mission Internal Medical Group Lipid Clinic.
