William Smith, M.D.

Dr. Smith received his undergraduate degree at the University of Chicago, Illinois. He attended medical school at the University of Wisconsin, graduating in 1971 with honors and inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Honorary Medical Society. He completed his internship and residency at Mercy Hospital/University of California, San Diego Hospital joint program. He finished a senior residency year at University of Wisconsin Hospitals.
Dr. Smith served two years with the U.S. Navy in Long Beach. He began practice in Mission Viejo in 1976. Dr. Smith is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. He has been active with Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center and with the leadership at Mission Internal Medical Group. He is married to his wife Marcia and they have two children.
