George L. Schiffman, M.D., F.C.C.P.
Pulmonary Critical Care
Dr. Schiffman graduated from Hobart College in 1976 with High Honors. He obtained his Medical Doctorate degree from Rush Medical College. He was elected to the National Medical Honor Society - Alpha Omega Alpha. His Internal Medicine Residency at UCI was complete in 1985. His Pulmonary/Critical Care Fellowship at UCI/VA Long Beach was completed in 1987.
He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary, and Critical Care. He was instrumental in the formation of the local Orange County Pulmonary Rehabilitation Education Program (PREP) at Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center and has been its Medical Director since its inception in 1988. He is Chairman of the Intensive Care Unit Committee, Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center. He is Medical Director of the Subacute Unit and the Respiratory Department at South Coast Medical Center. Dr. Schiffman has been affiliated with Mission Internal Medical Group since 1987.
His interests include asthma, COPD, pulmonary rehabilitation, lung cancer, and sleep medicine.
