Mehrnaz Badie,
M.D.
Dr. Badie received her Medical training and Degree at Tehran Azad University in Tehran, Iran. Dr. Badie received the honor of Intern of the year in 2000 in the Internal Medicine rotation at Torfeh Medical Center. She completed her Residency training at Loma Linda University finishing in 2006.
Dr. Badie is Board eligible for Internal Medicine. She is fluent in Farsi.
Mark Hauptman,
M.D.
Dr.
Hauptman received his medical degree from the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Hauptman has served on the Hospital Ethics, Pharmacy and Therapeutics, Quality Assurance, and Medical Credentials Committees.
Dr. Hauptman has been practicing internal
medicine since 1986 and joined Mission
Internal Medical Group in 1993. Dr. Hauptman is a member of the American College of Physicians and is affiliated with Saddleback Memorial Medical Centerand Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center. He is
fluent in Spanish and conversant in German.

Murray Margolis, M.D.
Dr.
Margolis received his medical degree from
the University of Maryland in 1969. He
completed his Internal Medicine internship
and residency training at the University
of California, Irvine. He completed his
pulmonary fellowship at Harbor General
Hospital. Dr. Margolis was the Chief of
Staff at Mission Hospital Regional Medical
Center in Mission Viejo, California in
1990.
Madineth Muy, M.D.
Dr. Muy received her medical degree from Howard University School of Medicine, Washington D.C. in May 1999. She completed her Internal Medicine internship and residency training at the University of Southern California Medical Center, Los Angeles County, California in June 2002.
Dr. Muy joined the Mission Internal Medical Group in December 2006. She is Board Certified, American Board of Internal Medicine.
Bruce Nelson, M.D. FACP, FAAAAI
Dr.
Nelson received his undergraduate degree
at Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts.
He attended medical school at the John
A. Burns, School of Medicine, University
of Hawaii, graduating in 1975. He completed
his internal medicine residency and fellowship
in allergy and immunology at Wilford Hall
USAF Medical Center, Lackland AFB, Texas.
Dr. Nelson has been practicing allergy,
immunology, and internal medicine with
MIMG since 1995. Dr. Nelson is a board
certified in both allergy & immunology
and internal medicine. He is an associate
clinical professor of medicine at the
University of California, Irvine. He is
a flight surgeon and Chief of the Medical
Division, HQ Fourth Air Force, United
States Air Force Reserve, March ARB, California.
He is an author of several important clinical
papers and lecturer in subjects related
to allergy and immunology.

Joe T. Nguyen, M.D.
Dr. Nguyen received his undergraduate degree in Biology at Loma Linda University. He completed his Internal Medicine Internship and Residency training at Loma Linda University. Dr. Nguyen is certifed by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
On May 1, 2007 Dr. Nguyen moved his practice from Paloma Medical Group in San Juan Capistrano to Join Mission Internal Medical Group, Inc.
Vy P. Nguyen, M.D.
Dr. Vy Nguyen received her medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine New York, New York in 1997. She completed her Internal Medicine internship and residency training at the University of California, Davis Medical Center, Sacramento in 2000.
Dr. Nguyen joined the Mission Internal Medical Group as of September 2000. She is Board Certified, American Board of Internal Medicine.
Nader Noorian,
M.D.
Dr. Noorian received his medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in May 1991. He completed his Internal Medicine internship and residency training at the University of California, Irvine in 1994.
Dr. Noorian joined the Mission Internal Medical Group as of January 1996. He is Board Certified, American Board of Internal Medicine.
Duc Quy Pham, M.D.
Dr. Pham received his medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Washington D.C. in May 1995. He completed his Internal Medicine internship and residency training at the University of California Los Angeles, San Fernando, California in 1998.
Dr. Pham joined the Mission Internal Medical Group in November 2006. He is Board Certified, American Board of Internal Medicine.
Donald Pratt, M.D.
Dr. Pratt graduated from UC Berkley in
1977. He obtained his Medical Doctorate
degree from USC in 1981. His Internal
Medicine residency was at UCI, completed
in 1984. He served in the US Public Health
Service from 1984 - 1987. He has been
in practice in Mission Viejo since 1987.
He has been with Mission Internal Medical
Group since 1991. He is board certified in Internal Medicine.

William Scheppach, M.D.
Dr. Scheppach graduated from the University
of Illinois and obtained his medical doctorate
graduating in 1971. He did his internship
at Cook County Hospital in Illinois in
1972. Dr. Scheppach did his residency
at Mercy Hospital, San Diego, California
in 1973 and Milwaukee County University
in 1974.
Dr. Scheppach served in the United States
Navy from 1974 to 1976. He has been in
private practice with Mission Internal
Medical Group since 1976 and is active
on staff at Mission Hospital Regional
Medical Center.

William Smith, M.D.
Dr. Smith received his undergraduate
degree at the University of Chicago, Illinois.
He attended medical school at the University
of Wisconsin, graduating in 1971 with
honors and inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha
Honorary Medical Society. He completed
his internship and residency at Mercy
Hospital/University of California, San
Diego Hospital joint program. He finished
a senior residency year at University
of Wisconsin Hospitals. Dr. Smith served
two years with the U.S. Navy in Long Beach.
He began practice in Mission Viejo in
1976. Dr. Smith is Board Certified in
Internal Medicine. He has been active
with Mission Hospital Regional Medical
Center and with the leadership at Mission
Internal Medical Group. He is married
to his wife Marcia and they have two children.
Michele Staunton,
M.D.
Dr. Staunton received her undergraduate
education from Vanderbilt University where
she graduated Phi Beta Kappa. She remained
at Vanderbilt where she received her medical
degree in 1988. Upon graduation, she was
awarded the Albert Weinstein Award for
Internal Medicine. She completed her internal
medicine internship and residency training
at the University of California, San Francisco.
Before moving to Mission Viejo with her
family in 1995, Dr. Staunton practiced
Internal Medicine in the San Francisco
Bay Area for four years. Dr. Staunton
has been active on the hospital staffs
of various hospitals with which she has
been affiliated, serving on the Infection
Control Committee, Pharmacy and Therapeutics
Committee, Medical Executive Committee,
and Intensive Care Unit Committee. Dr.
Staunton has been practicing internal
medicine with Mission Internal Medical
Group since 1995. She is Board Certified
in Internal Medicine and is on staff at
Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center
where she has served as Chair of the Department
of Medicine for 2005 and 2006.
Amy Underwood - Jolly,
M.D.
Dr. Underwood - Jolly graduated Summa
Cum Laude from the University of California,
San Diego, Muir College with a degree
in Biochemistry/Cell Biology in 1991.
She obtained her doctorate at the University
of California, Davis - School of Medicine
in 1995 and was elected to the National
Honor Medical Society Alpha Mega Alpha..
Dr. Underwood did her Internal Medicine
Residency at the University of California,
San Diego Medical Center from 1995 to
1998.
Dr. Underwood - Jolly has participated
in several volunteer programs throughout
her career. She was a clinical volunteer
at the Clinica Tepati in Sacramento California,
volunteered in several AIDS education
projects, and was a volunteer for the
American Medical Student Association.
Dr. Underwood has been with Mission Internal
Medical Group since 1999 and is affiliated
with Mission Hospital Regional Medical
Center.

Chad Wadell,
M.D.
Dr. Wadell received his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of California, Irvine. He then pursued a Master's Degree in Medical Science at the Medical College of Pennsylvania/Hahnemann University in Philadelphia. Dr. Wadell then obtained his doctorate from Drexel University College of Medicine graduating with Alpha Omega Alpha Honors in 2004. He completed his internship and residency training at the University of California, San Diego Medical Center finishing in July 2007. He is Board Certified, American Board of Internal Medicine.
Janet Yazdi, M.D.
Dr. Yazdi received her medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in May 2001. She completed her Internal Medicine internship and residency training at the University of California, San Diego Medical Center, San Diego in 2002.
