Ronald N. Adamany, M.D
Ronald N. Adamany, M.D. is a graduate of George Washington University and Howard University College of Medicine. He completed his residency in the Greenwich Hospital Yale New Haven Health System and Fellowship at State University of New York at Buffalo. He is a Board Certified Gastroenterologist who has been in practice in Mission Viejo since 1985.
Dr. Adamany is a consultant for the Celiac Sprue Association and a member of the American Gastroenterology Association (AGA), American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), American Medical Association (AMA), and the Southern California Society of Gastroenterology. He has served as Mission Hospital Chief of Staff, Chairman of the Department of Medicine, and currently Chief of Endoscopy Subsection. Dr. Adamany performs office and hospital consultations and endoscopic procedures as well as Capsule Enteroscopy (PillCam).
For the convenience of his patients, Dr. Adamany has appointments in the Mission Viejo office and the Rancho Santa Margarita office.
Edward J. Block, M.D
Dr. Block graduated from Washington University in St. Louis and completed his medical training at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. He had his residency and fellowship training in Internal Medicine at Cedars Sinai Medical Center and UCLA. He completed his Gastroenterology fellowship at University of California, Irvine. He is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. In recognition of his contributions to medical education, he was awarded the USC Family Practice Attending Physician of the Year award and the American Academy of Family Physicians recognition award for teaching excellence. He has also been recognized as a Physician of Excellence by the Orange County Medical Association and Orange Coast Magazine in 2005.
Dr. Block has held multiple leadership positions including Chief of Gastroenterology at Mission Hospital as well as President of Mission Internal Medical Group. He has a special interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Reflux Disease.
He has been married for 26 years and has a daughter who graduated from USC and a son who is presently attending UCLA. He has 2 dogs - Buster and Baxter.

Elmer Y. Chang, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Chang is a Board Certified Gastroenterologist who specializes in the evaluation and management of disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, pancreas, bile duct, and liver. He performs upper endoscopy and colonoscopy to screen for, diagnose, and treat a variety of gastrointestinal diseases and cancers. He also has expertise in several advanced endoscopic techniques including endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), a procedure that is used to manage stones, strictures, and malignant obstruction of the bile duct. He is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Taiwanese.
Dr. Chang graduated with degrees in molecular biology and economics from the Northwestern University, and received his medical degree from the Northwestern University Medical School. After finishing residency training in Internal Medicine from the Baylor College of Medicine, he completed a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at the UCLA School of Medicine.
During his fellowship, Dr. Chang was recruited into the Specialty Training and Advanced Research program at UCLA, where he conducted research in gut immunity and inflammatory bowel disease. In recognition of this research, he was granted a philosophical doctorate degree from the Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics at UCLA. He also received several awards for this work, including grants from the National Institute of Health and the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America.
Following his fellowship training at UCLA, Dr. Chang pursued another year of advanced endoscopic fellowship at the UCSF School of Medicine, where he developed expertise in therapeutic ERCP, endoscopic ultrasound, gastrointestinal stricture remediation, and other advanced endoscopic procedures.
Dr. Chang has published numerous abstracts and articles in the field of gut immunity, inflammatory bowel disease, and pancreaticobiliary disorders in peer-reviewed journals such as Gastroenterology, Journal of Clinical Investigation, and Journal of Immunology. He is a member of the American Gastroenterology Association, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American College of Gastroenterology, and American Medical Association.

Jack C. Feng , M.D
Dr. Feng graduated Summa Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude, and Phi Beta Kappa, with degrees in music and biologic sciences from the University of California, Irvine. After his undergraduate work, he obtained his medical degree at the Ohio State University in 1996. He completed his three year internal medicine residency at UCI Medical Center. He then received three more years of subspecialty fellowship training at Harbor-UCLA and UCLA Medical Center, where his emphasis was on advanced and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. Dr. Feng's clinical interests include colon cancer screening, gastroesophageal reflux disorder (GERD), gastrointestinal bleeding, inflammatory bowel disease, evaluation of abdominal pain, and biliary/pancreatic diseases. Dr. Feng has co-authored a number of journal publications and abstracts. His research work studied the use of endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) guided fine needle aspiration in cancer detection and staging. Since joining Mission Internal Medical Group in 2002, Dr. Feng has served on the Cancer and Medical Executive Committees at Mission Hospital. He currently serves as the 2009 Chief of Endoscopy subsection at the medical center. In 2007 and 2008, he was honored for placement in the "Guide to America's top physicians." Dr. Feng believes in personal and quality care and values patient and family input when faced with challenging clinical decisions.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Feng invests much of his pastime playing and making music. As lead vocalist/guitarist of a local cover band, he enjoys performing at various professional and social functions. He has also sung and recorded in a number of Christian/gospel CD albums. He shares his passion for music with his wife, who is a classically trained pianist and instructor. Dr. Feng serves on the worship team at the Harvest Community Church of Irvine. He is the proud father of two boys. Having emigrated from Taiwan at the age of 10, he is also fluent in Mandarin Chinese.

Jay
W Marks, M.D
Dr. Jay W. Marks is a Board Certified Internist and Gastroenterologist. He graduated from Yale University School of Medicine and trained in internal medicine and Gastroenterology at UCLA/Cedar-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. For 20 years he was the Associate Director of the Division of Gastroenterology at Cedar-Sinai Medical Center and an Associate Professor of Medicine in residence at UCLA. At Cedar-Sinai he co-directed the Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Unit, taught physicians during their graduate and postgraduate training, and performed specialized, non-endoscopic gastrointestinal testing. He carried out Public Health Service sponsored (National Institutes of Health) clinical and basic research into mechanisms of the formation of gallstone and methods for the non-surgical treatment of gallstones. He is the author of 36 original research manuscripts and 24 book chapters. Dr. Marks presently directs the Gastrointestinal Diagnostic Unit where he continues to perform specialized tests for the diagnosis of gastrointestinal diseases.

J. Santoro, M.D
Dr. Santoro received his undergraduate degree at Villanova University, Pennsylvania. He received a Bachelor in Science with honors. He attended Medical School at the State University of New York Health and Science Center at Brooklyn. Dr. Santoro completed his internship and residency at Staten Island University Hospital. He received his GI Fellowship at Loma Linda University. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and specializes in Gastroenterology.
Dr. Santoro is a fellow with the American College of Physicians (FACP) and a fellow with American College of Gastroenterology (FACG). He has served as chief of Gastroenterology at Saddleback Memorial Hospital, San Clemente Campus. Dr. Santoro has been recognized as Physician of Excellence with Orange Coast Magazine, 2005.
Dr. Santoro was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He has lived in California since 1990 and been in practice for 13 years. He is married with 3 children.

Lorelei Sanders, PA-C
Lorelei Sanders graduated from Western University of Health Sciences Physician Assistant Program in the top 5 percent of her class in 1999 after receiving her Bachelor's degree from the University of California, Riverside in 1995. She is certified by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants and licensed by the state of California. She has specialized in Gastroenterology since 2001, after practicing family medicine. She and her husband, also a Physician Assistant, were both born and raised in the Southern California area and enjoy the abundance of recreational activities South Orange County has to offer
