MIMG is committed to improving the overall health and wellness of our patients. One of the most important ways to achieve optimal health is to make lifestyle changes, which include regular physical activity and a healthy diet. We know these changes can be difficult to make and even more challenging to sustain. Our new Weight Management Division has been successfully helping patients realize their wellness goals.
Program
Through our Slim Premier Program, we offer patients a medically-managed 12 week program that includes weekly workshops, lectures and personalized visits with a registered dietitian. Many patients choose to use protein-enhanced, pre-packaged meal replacements to assist them in their initial weight loss efforts. We suggest the use of prepackaged meals/snacks for the initiation phase only – our ultimate goal is to get patients to eat whole foods and feel confident and comfortable preparing and selecting healthy meals.
Unlike other weight loss programs that require patients to rely exclusively on meal replacements for an extended period of time, SLIM’s philosophy is based on intuitive eating and nutrition education. After graduating from SLIM, patients know how to eat right, stay active and maintain their new healthy habits.
