The Gastroenterology Department of Mission Internal Medical Group consists of Board Certified Gastroenterologists, Nurse Practitioner and a Nationally Certified Physicians Assistant. The department has been providing care for South Orange County residents for over 20 years. Most endoscopic procedures are performed in our certified Endoscopy Center adjacent to our Mission Viejo office.
Gastroenterology is a subspecialty of Internal Medicine involving the diagnosis and treatment of abnormalities of the digestive system.
Our physicians, Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant have full hospital and admitting privileges at Mission Community Hospital Regional Medical Center. A physician is available for emergency care 24 hours a day. In addition to providing consultative services and follow-up care, our office has facilities for state of the art testing including endoscopic procedures at our Endoscopy Center as well as Capsule Enteroscopy (PillCam), Hydrogen Breath Testing, Esophageal Manometry, Esophageal PH studies and C T Colography. Other diagnostic tests including Nuclear Radiology are available in MIMG Nuclear Medicine Department.
Our physicians have been recognized by the OCMA as Orange County Physicians of Excellence.
