Cardiology Research
Deborah Rice received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing at University of California, Los Angeles in 1981. Her primary specialty has been caring for critically ill patients in the hospital for much of her nursing career. Before joining the family of Mission Internal Medical Group over 4 years ago, she managed the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Mission Hospital where she supervised over 90 critical care nurses with 24 hour / 7 day responsibility of the unit. Since joining the MIMG team, she has been the lead research coordinator working with Dr. Gregory Thomas and other cardiologists. Deborah has been an integral part of many national and international research studies with one key drug ultimately being approved by the FDA making cardiac testing easier for our cardiac patients and staff alike.
